Daphne comes from some small town in the middle of nowhere Virginia, where she grew up bound to some plant. She'd always wanted to get out, to see the world, but she hadn't thought she'd be able to. Finally she realized that she could take the plant with her, hired some people to be very careful when transplanting it to a pot, and since then she's been making her way around the United States with it strapped to the back of her motorcycle.

She usually doesn't stay anywhere long, however she's expecting to have to spend some time in New Orleans, due to her running out of funds. At the moment she's planning on staying in the city for a few months to work and replenish her pockets before setting off again, but she figures that she may stay longer if the right reason came up. In any case, she doesn't have a care in the world right now and is enjoying her freedom... and the baffled looks magical beings get when she tells them that she's a nymph from Virginia.
