The Rules
- One account per character. You can use whatever username you want, but please make your display name your character’s first and last name. It doesn’t matter how you capitalize the display name, as the coding on the site will automatically change it to uppercase. Please don’t put symbols in your display name.
- There’s no character limit, however please keep your characters active. At the moment, active is considered a post per week per character. If a character is not meeting the post per week requirement or has not responded to the monthly activity check without posting in the absences board, it will be deleted and their claims freed.
- If you’re going away, please post in the absences board. Your characters and claims will be safe until staff has reason to believe that you won’t be returning.
- There’s no acceptance process here; simply post your character, fill out the claims and then begin role-playing. Staff will be making sure characters are not overly or unfairly powerful, however, and if concerns are brought to the staff we may ask you to change some details about your character to make it fair to everyone else.
- There’s no set lore here, so please feel free to use whichever you like. The only lore requirement is that all non-human characters have one weakness for every two strengths/abilities, and at least one weakness must be a way to permanently kill the character.
- As well as no set lore, we have no species limitations. However, please keep in mind the setting. A dragon the size of a city block may not be the most appropriate choice.
- All role-playing should be done in prose format and written to the best of your ability. While perfect grammar, spelling, etc is not expected all the time, please make sure to correct mistakes if you find them. Role-players of all levels are welcome as long as they put in an effort.
- There’s no word count, however please make sure to give your partner(s) something to work with. I would suggest contacting your partner(s) and discussing average post lengths if you’re not sure.
- Standard role-play etiquette applies, which includes: no powerplaying, no godmoding, separating ooc and ic knowledge, etc.
- In-character actions will have in-character consequences. Illegal activities may be subject to, at the very least, police investigation, and things that occur outside may be seen and passed around by other people. Your character will have to deal with the consequences of their actions.
- Due to the PG-13 requirement set by Proboards, please fade to black in any such situations, no excessive descriptions of violence, no pornographic or nude images, etc.
This site aims to be a safe space for all LGBTA+ identities, PoC, mentally ill people, and anyone else in need of that reassurance. The staff do police the site actively to the extent that they can, and complaints in regard to these matters will be handled with due seriousness.
All threads containing occurrences and detailed mentions of homophobia, racism, transphobia, abuse, drug use, suicide, self-harm, sexual assault, sexual harassment, or death/murder must be tagged accordingly in both the threat title and in the first post in the thread. Threads not following this rule will be deleted immediately.
If you need anything put on this list, please PM Valerie.
