It was barely after sunset and Bourbon Street was already in full swing. Granted, it had been in full swing a few hours ago, but the streets were starting to get full, tourists and locals alike flocking to the street after a day of various pursuits. She was also there, tucked into some little bar, chugging down some drink she'd forgotten the name of with a crowd of spectators watching and cheering her on. It took her a minute -- Bourbon Street had a penchant for big drinks -- and when she finally slammed the glass on the table, empty, the crowd cheered. A few congratulated her on her oversized drink achievement but most went back to their original night out plans. Which was fine with her, since Daphne hadn't been looking for a large crowd when she decided to knock back a big one.
The bar was packed, but all were, and she could feel the heat in the air. She thought about grabbing a drink to go, but she didn't want to deal with the crowd on the street. So she ordered another drink, an appropriate sized one this time, and after paying settled into her spot. MADE BY DANNIMARIEEE of CAUTION 2.0

OutfitBeing in loud, crowded places would normally make Alexei extremely uncomfortable. He was a werewolf, after all, and with his sensitive hearing, the shouting and cheering come from the bar patrons reached his ears like a set of loud speakers were sitting next to his ears. But over the years, he had learned to block out the noise, which was a necessity for his insanity if he wanted to work as a bartender, especially on nights like these where the bar was crammed and people had to shout in order to be heard. After ten years of being a werewolf, though, he was pretty good about tuning out most of the noise so he could think clearly. Alexei stood at the far right end of the bar, pouring beers for a group of college frats. He glanced up and down the bar where the sound of cheering could be heard above all the other noise, and he wasn't surprised to see that a crowd had formed around a woman who was knocking back a big one. Something that Alexei had learned by working on Bourbon Street was that there was nothing more exciting to the bar patrons than watching someone chugging a big drink. He didn't understand the fascination himself, but maybe with a bit more time living in New Orleans, he would start to get in the spirit of things. Turning his attention back to the drinks in front of him, he handed over the beers and moved down the bar, getting drinks when it was asked for, until he finally stopped in front of the purple-haired woman who had just a few seconds ago been the attention of half the patrons. Now, everyone had left, and the noise died down to it's normal loud din. He handed over the drink she ordered, this time of the average-sized variety, and although he knew that he had several other customers trying to get his attention, he stopped in front of her. "That was impressive," he praised her, his Russian accent still thick despite having lived in America for almost a decade. "Sure you don't want another big one?"

Daphne was actually somewhat surprised her drink got to her in a relatively short amount of time, especially with this crowd, and it was with a lot more surprise that she realized the bartender was sticking around. She raised an eyebrow and took a sip of the drink before answering, "I still have to walk back to my hotel. I probably shouldn't even be drinking this if I'm going to be honest."
She knew she was going to hate herself in the morning, especially since she knew her body was far more sensitive than most magicals', but she knew she didn't have anything to do tomorrow, so there was little reason, in her mind, not to indulge. She just had to watch out; she sometimes noticed that plants began reacting to her the more alcohol she had in her, and she knew that wouldn't be good at all. "And you probably see fools drinking way too much alcohol all the time. Flatterer." MADE BY DANNIMARIEEE of CAUTION 2.0
